Wake Nation Cincinnati to Host USA Wakeboard Cable National Championships Beginning July 30

(Photo: Seventy-fiver athletes -- the best of the best wakeboarderse from acrossthe U.S. -- will be at Wake Natiob to compete for a spot on TEAM USA and earn the right to represent the United Statew at the 2010 IWSF World Cablwe Championshipsin Neubrandenburg, Germany. Wake Nation will host the preliminary rounds of the Cable Wakeboardingg National Championships on ThursdayJuly 30, beginninhg at 8:00 a.m.
The final roundws will continue at Wake Nation on Saturda yAugust 1st, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Admission tickets to both the preliminar y and final rounds can now be purchase d atWake Nation. Tickets are $10 each and includd access to both days' events. Children 5 and under are admitted The cable wakeboarding competition is part of the larger Surf and Cable Nationals hosted in Cincinnatki and Dayton allweekend long.
This year'z events combine the 11th Annuall USA Wakeboard Nationals with the 4th Annua GrassrootsWakeboard Nationals, and the new USA Cable Wakeboard All three championships will air on NBC Universal the preeminent multiplatform destinatiobn for Olympic-related sports programming. What makes the experiencse at Wake Nation so unique is that participants can water ski, and kneeboard WITHOUT A BOAT! they are pulled around a 10-acre lake at speeds of 18-200 miles per hour by a circulating cable system that runs 35 feet abovew the water.
Wakeboarding is the country'ds fastest growing water and Wake Nation Cincinnati is the first and only cabls wake park inOhio -- in there are only six othet cable wakeboarding parks in the entire USA (mostly in Floridza and Texas.) Wake Natiob opened to rave reviews May 3. USA Wakeboard is one of nine spory divisions of USA Water Ski and is the nationap governing body of organized wakeboarding in theUnited States. USA Watefr Ski is a member of the Internationakl Water SkiFederation (worlx governing body), the Pan American Sports Organizatiom and the United States Olympic Committee. Wake Nation is open daily all summerlong (through October) from 10 a.m. to seven days a week.
